A character with the right main stats and good substats outperforms one with the perfect set and bad stats. Chase the right attack, mastery, recharge, or healing stats for the role first, and treat the perfect set as a long-term goal.
A four-star weapon is often enough
Many free and four-star weapons give most of the value of a five-star for the role. Match the weapon stat to what the character needs rather than equipping the rarest thing you own.

- Stop farming a character once their build is good enough to clear your content.
- Recharge is a stat too; a character who cannot burst is not finished.
- Match the artifact main stats to the role before chasing the set bonus.
- Use a build reference for a character, then aim your farming, not the reverse.
